This work was made to complete Introduction to Public Relation SM108 group assignment in UCSI University Kuala Lumpur, and the brand used for the campaign was Ovaltine Malaysia.

The assignment was to create a whole year campaign including the Press Releases and Speeches.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Press Release: Ovaltine Summer Camp

 

Ovaltine is a brand of milk flavoring product with malt extract. This product is very suitable for children and youth who need a lot of whey protein concentrate and food supplement. Therefore, Ovaltine made a decision to hold a summer camp to celebrate the 110th Ovaltine anniversary since 1904 when the first time it was started.

 

To make it more globalize, the westernization style will be applied for this camping concept. On a summer camp in western countries, people tend to spend their time to get to know new people through many activities; such as sport, art and academic for 2-3 weeks. Thus, in this new upcoming Ovaltine project on next September 2014, we will be targeting 7 until 15 years old adolescents to experience being in the Ovaltine family for a week. In this camping project, participants will be separated into groups and will be encouraged to participate in all activities with new people. As a result, they will learn how to trust others, how to have a good cooperation among the team members, how to communicate properly in a real problem situation and how to cope with the challenge provided.

 

As spoken by Marc Moret, the Ovaltine CEO yesterday in the camp location, “This camp is a good idea to foster the sense of brotherhood. We have recruited special teams to manage everything and to achieve our main goals which are building an independent personality and spreading the joy to al people.”

 

So overall, this camping not only provides enjoyable activities with professional instructors, but also giving the chances for participants to get new experiences, to improve their academic and non-academic skills, and to build a new connection with new people.

 

 

Press Release: Ovaltine is looking for a Brand Ambassador 

 

Since it was firstly released on 1904, Ovaltine has been consumed continuously by almost everyone in the society. To celebrate this momentous Ovaltine 110th birthday, the brand ambassador for Ovaltine will be chosen and will be broadcasted live on local television channel.

 

In order to let the society be more conscious about the product, there will be a breakthrough project called “Ovaltine Ambassador Contest 2014”. The objective of this event is to supply trusted information about Ovaltine from trusted source to the customers, since the votes are coming from the audiences themselves and the progress from quarantine weeks until the announcement will be broadcasted as well.

 

Quoting from one of the judges, Marion Caunter, A Malaysian VJ and television personality most known for the reality-competition TV series, One In A Million, said, “This contest is very interesting. I am sure we will find a lot of potential youth here and I am sure we [as the judges] will face a lot of difficulties and confusion if we are the one who decides the winner. I personally can’t wait because it is the very first time a drink product holds an event like this and I believe it will be huge.”

 

In other way, this Ovaltine Ambassador Contest 2014 has two significant points. Former, this contest lets the youths to show their talents and to take a big role in Ovaltine Family. Latter, this event will simply form a new connecting bridge between Ovaltine product and the customers to do a direct and open communication. 

 

Speech: By the new Ovaltine Ambassador 

 

Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, it is an honour for me to be here, standing in front of all of you today. Standing here and giving my words, seeing a lot of great people in front of me, is such a wonderful thing I never imagined before. As if I thought years ago, a class would be my only biggest crowd for me to have a speech. A lot of thank you, I deliver this word to Ovaltine especially for these great moments during the camp until now.

 

First of all, I want to thank God as my guidance and saver of my life. Without his pleasure I cannot be here and reaching what I’ve got this far.

 

Today, I am speaking as a different person, as you all know about me recently during these few weeks of competition. The ending of this “Ovaltine Ambassador” competition takes me as a person who will be in charge of Ovaltine’s brand, where I want to thank all of you here, my family, my friends and all of the judges for giving their supports and votes. It is such a glorious thing and delightful moment I’ve never felt before.

 

As the final that judges gave two days before; I am here with my motivation of pleasing, thank you-ing and giving several information regarding me as the winner, and now as an Ambassador of Ovaltine in Malaysia. Being an ambassador is not as easy as people think. From now on, I will be the person who carry this brand image and I will be the connecting bridge between Ovaltine and the public. So, starting today as an official member of Ovaltine family, I hope all of our goals, which is to invite all of you to be the part of Ovaltine family as well, will be accomplished like what we have targeted before. Lat but not least, a simple declaration from me that I will never be tired of is to keep reminding people of a healthy life, by having at least a glass of tasty Ovaltine each day.

 

In a nutshell,

“All the good things will happen and all the bad things will be gone”

That will be one of my hopes for being here. Good things are coming really close. So for all of the youngsters, be ready for a good, better and healthy body in a lip-smacking way.

Speech: Camp Opening

 

Good Morning my precious Ovaltine families and friends, a holiday season in this sunny day has come, it is the time where we shall feel the beauty and freshness of earth at this time. Where a joy will also bring us to one of our happiest moments in life.

Are you guys wondering why am I here? And questioning who am I? With all due respect, let me introduce my self. I am Nadya Yusrina as the CEO and the chairman of this summer camp. Yes, here, today, in a place where you all will find a new experience with a fresh, interesting and enjoyable way of learning, has begun.

 

“Nothing smells like a camp”

Don’t be afraid of it. I mentioned this famous quote not because I want to scare all of you my courageous new friends here. This quote itself is more likely refer to unforgettable moments. Starting today, until the end of this camp, we will have a lot, a bunch, a dozen of special and glorious moments that we will not find in any other place.

 

Bear in mind to not put your fear blocking your step. Just now, when I was talking to some of you, I heard a lot of request to make this camp not be so boring, too adventurous and to be a super extreme camp where I will be punishing all of you and extracting your sweats until you collapse. No, it absolutely will not be happening. 

 

 In this Ovaltine camp, we all definitely will have fun! Well, I bet all of you do like mini games in groups, foods, snacks, movies, sing your favourite song, play your favourite music instrument, dance, does talent performance, share stories, listen to stories, and the best part, camp fire activities. Of course, we will twist the content of the activities to be meaningful to all of us either in academic, art, or life lesson side. You can never ask more in other camp events, I can guarantee.

 

In another side, I know for some of you, this is the very first time you are staying far away from your beloved family, but don’t worry, it is only a few days and we are all here helping each other! Lets enjoy what we have right now and lets make this happiness continue until the camp ends.

 

Lastly, for all of the parents, first of all I want to thank you for giving us the chance to develop your children and for trusting us to train them properly.

“A child is a God’s Gift”

It is not an easy thing to let your gift far from you; I know how does it feel when you are far from someone that you really care about, especially your children. But it would be really great for us if you don’t worry, because we will be taking care and preparing your children to be more wonderful and powerful God’s gift that you’ve ever had.

 

Overall, by the end of this speech, I would like to announce that this camp has officially begun. Good luck for all of us and let’s have a good time together, to get the unforgettable stories and wonderful life lesson with amazing people surround us right now. May God bless the big family of Ovaltine team and may God bless all of us.
